Over the last 5 years (along with everything else in the world that's is becoming 'smart' and 'connected') the staffing industry has done the same with their adoption of new software known as ATS to make hiring faster, and more efficient. I've realized recently that a change has occurred in the staffing industry, right under my nose, and like many I had no idea how it would affect me, my job search or my resume. Wait, what it the hell is happening here?! Even my old friend Lisa at Company's Company didn't call me - and she's been my friend since childhood! Ew. If I upload my resume to seven job boards and apply to a series of roles that I know I qualify for, I sit back and.crickets. Do you remember, perhaps 5 years ago, when you'd post a resume to a given job board, possibly two, and then sit back to field all of the interest that your resume had garnered? Or instead, you'd email a handful of recruiters that specialize in your industry and line up interviews from there?
